Five Faves: June 2014
Ray Ban “Round Folding Classic” Sunglasses, $250. I have an identical bootleg pair that belonged to my daddy-o in the ’90s and they’re my absolute favorites. I’ll wear them with a big hat, wild hair and feel a little like Yoko Ono. Or throw my hair in a bun, put on some dark red lipstick and these sunnies make me feel chic as sh!t.
Superior Servers, $30 each. I’ve never coveted a home-good as much as I covet these. One day! One day they will be mine!
“The Third Plate: Notes on the Future of Food” by Dan Barber, $22. Every change I get, I nestle into a cozy corner with this book. If you’re reading/read this please tell me your thoughts in the comments.
La Roche Posay Anthelios 40 Sunscreen, $36. I spend a lot of time outside in the sun and like to keep my skin protected. The problem is, most sunscreens are filled with ingredients that are worse for you than the sun! I like this brand because it offers total protection, without all the toxins.
Kyocera Advanced Ceramics Julienne Mandolin Slicer, $25. This time of year, I use my julienne mandolin all the time. I use it to chop a bunch of CSA veggies and make giant batches of slaw. Yummm.
