Strawberry Basil Freeze Pops

WHOA. MAMA.  These things are summer on a stick.

Nothing says long summer days quite like strawberries.  I can’t wait to kick back in my garden and savor a grown up freeze pop as the sun sets.  How glorious does that sound?

These freeze pops are super healthy because there is not added sugar.  It’s just straight up strawberries plus a few simple ingredients: the lime, which brightens up the flavor and adds a bit of tang, the yogurt gives it a creamy richness and the basil gives it a grown up flare.

I beg you to try these! I can’t wait to play around with different fruits and herbs.  Next up: pineapple cilantro and blackberry mint and raspberry rosemary.

Strawberry Basil Freeze Pops
Servings: 4
Time: 10 minutes
What you need: a high power blender, popsicle molds

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1 cup yogurt (I like goat or sheeps milk yogurt)
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon of finely sliced basil
  • Pinch of sea salt


Put all ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth.  Pour mixture into popsicle molds and freeze overnight.
